Morrison's Basingstoke

Morrison's Basingstoke was the first site in the UK to be fitted with the HTEC HydraOPT Chip and PIN outdoor payment terminal, onto Wayne 9000 pumps.

The site has an extremely high throughput, with the 18 pumps in near constant use. The addition of the HydraOPT onto all of the 18 pumps has been extremely well received by staff and customers, with OPT sales during the first week of operation alone running at approximately 15% of total sales!

The OPT controller is linked to an embedded 'black box' Codax terminal, so the OPT's may be used to purchase fuel, and / or valeting. When a wash or vacuum program is purchased the OPT prints out a 6 digit code which the customer enters into the valeting equipment on the forecourt. Customers can also collect their Morrisons Miles points at the OPT too.
