Murco Petroleum has installed our HydraPOS solution into its Costcutter-branded forecourt convenience stores. Following a three month trial at Murco’s Doncaster outlet, the POS rollout started in early 2007 and Murco aims to have the HydraPOS solution in all 160 sites by the end of 2008.
Previously, in 2006 Murco began searching for a common front and back office EPOS solution. They had acquired several Fuelforce sites, which already operated on HydraPOS software, running on Toshiba EPOS hardware, and were impressed with our proven solution.
Umar Bajwa, Network Manager at Murco explains:
"The HTEC / Toshiba solution had quickly proven itself, giving us enormous confidence that this was the front end solution for us going forward."
Our HydraPOS System provides the sites with an integrated solution - handling all fuel and shop transactions, including car wash and electronic tank gauge. This removes the need for seperate costly hardware for POS, Credit and Pump transactions which has saved both time and money, as well as improving the customer experience.
Once the rollout is complete, the standardisation of the POS Terminals will enable the company to carry out online credit card transactions using its own linked network. The system can also be tailored to include options such as Automatic Number Plate Recognition which can significantly reduce the number of drive-offs on sites.
Jeremy Clarke, Murco's Marketing Director says: "The new solution has given Murco a very stable platform enabling us to take our business forward".
