HTEC Launches New Brand

CELEBRATION EVENT WITH KEY CLIENTS

HTEC, the UK's leading retail and loyalty systems provider for petrol forecourts, hosted a brand launch event in Southampton on Friday 21st September, drawing together its key clients and partners from the Supermarket and Petroleum sectors for a "who's who" of the industry.  Represented at the event were Morrisons, Asda, BP, Shell and Total to name but a few.

The launch event marks the latest milestone for HTEC which, along with their holding company, Universe Group, has undergone major changes over the past year as part of a restructuring and refocusing of the business.

Following a networking dinner the previous evening, HTEC's clients and partners were invited to spend a day on the sunny Solent, learning how to sail, and enjoying the thrills of a super-charged rib.  The yachts, kindly organised by JCPii Ltd, were sailed to the Isle of Wight for a three course lunch, before being raced back to Southampton in friendly but heated competition.  The victorious team was led by Charlie Goulding, Chief Operating Officer of HTEC and long-time mariner.

Richard Jackson, Petrol Filling Station Operations Manager at Tesco said; "The day was tremendous fun and extremely well organised.  Despite getting a bit wet we all had a great time on the yachts, and the rib in particular, was amazing!  Overall, it was a fantastic informal networking opportunity for our industry, and I'm already thoroughly looking foward to the next event"

Commenting on the successful day, Paul Cooper, CEO, Universe Group (the Holding Company for HTEC) said: "This special event crowns a great year for HTEC and Universe so far, building on all the hard work both companies have undertaken since the beginning of 2007 to completely restructure and refocus their goals.  We have arranged new banking facilities, raised £3m via a successful placing, and strengthened our team with a series of new appointments, bringing on board the talent and expertise required to take us on to the next level".

He added: "We are absolutely delighted that the event was such a success and that it was so well attended by the leading lights of the industry.  I would like to thank all our clients and partners for spending the day with us, as well as the sailing skippers who looked after us and passed on some of their skills.  Finally, my special thanks go to Sarah Stocks and our team at HTEC for all the hard work they have put into organising the event, and for ensuring great fun was had by all".
