HTEC creates demo convenience store at its head office for clients and staff training
HTEC has created a demonstration convenience store at its head office in Hampshire to show its clients how its technology would work and for training staff.
The mock c-store was created by its internal team and used imagery from some its local client stores to replicate the products and ensure it was as real as possible. HTEC enlisted the expertise of The Jordon Group, Gerflor Flooring,The Kaoz Printworks and Impact Signs to bring the space to life.
The EPOS, payment and loyalty solutions company based in Southampton uses the store to show clients the technology it offers in situ as well as training staff and as part of the interview and induction process for new staff members.

“It’s a really useful resource to have internally and it’s good to see all our technology in one place – it really shows how a convenience store could look in the future. It’s an advantage that all our staff can visualise and experience the issues facing our clients and work to solve them as efficiently and effectively as possible. Having the ability to show the team what we deliver to customers, showing how it adds value and run their business better is proving to be an essential element to the HTEC ethos.
“We are currently going through a large-scale exercise to train all our Service Desk team on our next generation products as well as the latest technology including self-checkouts and Fingopay.”

The Jordon Group supported the project with shelving, end panels and a counter which created a fantastic mock-up store which displays the EPOS products perfectly, the way it would within a retail environment. The Kaoz Printworks and Impact Signs also helped produce product shelving graphics and imagery to make the shop come to life.
